Louise serves as Opal People Solutions Principal Consultant, founding the company in 2015 and brings over 28 years experience to the team. Prior to founding the company, Louise started her career path by studying BSc in Human Communication and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at Ulster University; this led her onto gaining extensive HR experience at senior management level within the food manufacturing and logistics / supply chain industries. Louise has broadened her exposure within her consultancy role to a wide range of sectors including IT, Not for Profit, the Integrated Education sector in NI, Early Years, Health, as well as Retail,  Legal, IT and Engineering. Louise is currently studying/completing the Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law at King’s Inn, Dublin which allows her to practice on an all Ireland basis.

What drove Louise to found the business was based on her belief that she could make a difference to small/medium sized organisations. As Principal Consultant at Opal People Solutions Louise helps clients overcome major challenges they may face in the workplace – such as grievance, disciplinary, absence management, organisational restructure, performance management, HR Strategy and Tribunal preparation

Her career has focused on helping businesses achieve the best result for them and their people. She will protect your company by providing expert advice and support. Strongly believing in relationships, working closely with you at all times, actively listening to your pain points, Louise will then provide realistic solutions for you and your company to achieve a successful outcome. 

Louise chose to work in HR because she is passionate about the field and has a natural sense of justice and fairness. She’s had the good fortune of having a career that she has always loved. Having pursued a career in senior HR management within the hospitality, retail and tourism industries, Ciara joined the Opal team in 2019, bringing over 10 years of diverse Human Resources experience and an array of skills to the table. She started her career path by studying BSc Hons in International Hospitality & Tourism Management from Ulster University and holds a CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management.

She then chose to move into the consultancy side of HR due to wanting to diversify her own HR experience and use it to deliver a high standard of service which balances the needs of both the company and its employees. She works within the growing HR Consulting division, and also serves as a brilliant all-rounder and serves as an initial interface for new clients. Ciara has a strong ability to interpret complex policy contracts, as well as practical written advice to clients along with extensive experience in employment law. 

Some of her areas of expertise include HR process and policy development and implementation, benefits design and management, compliance, employee relations and performance management, HR strategy development and implementation, recruitment, and compensation.

Ciara strives to help clients identity and address the HR needs throughout their businesses. She supports a diverse client base in a variety of industries, and provides guidance and support to both the HR Consulting group and the clients that they support.
